I submitted a claim for an operation on my weimaraner on the 10th Sept 13. The first diagnosis date was the 12 July 13 and the earliest the vet could give for the op was the 10 Sept. When the claim came back there were 2 amounts of excess taken off as the first part of the claim was in one policy year and the op fell in to a new policy year (my renewal date was 3rd Sept 13). It states in the terms and conditions that the excesses will be deducted for each policy year, but I thought this was for on-going conditions not one-off incidents/claims. I am taking this up with Petplan ,but I guess it will be with no luck - I'll keep you updated.
