Scratch & Patch offer six different types of pet insurance policy for cats and dogs, so there’s something for everyone. Their three lifetime cover policies are 5-star Defaqto rated, and all of their policies offer 24/7/365 access to the Scratch & Patch Careline where you can speak to fully qualified vet nurses whenever you need some advice.
What do they offer?
As well as offering three levels of Lifetime Cover policy which offer different levels of vet fee cover (Prime Cover, Premier Cover and Premier Plus Cover) they offer Accident Only insurance (Bronze Cover) a Time Limited policy (Silver Cover) and a Maximum benefit policy (Gold Cover). All of the policies cover pets from the age of 5 weeks with no upper age limits and they offer a 10% discount if you insure two or more pets.
They can also pay your vet direct, and their claims and admin team are all based in the UK so that should help smooth the path if you unfortunately have to make a claim.

What else should I know about Scratch & Patch Pet Insurance?
It’s worth knowing that within each policy there are certain treatments or conditions that have lower pay out limits than the policy states. These conditions and treatments include cruciate ligament issues, treatment, MRI or CT scans, special diets, alternative treatments, and behavioural issues. There are a few breeds of dog that Scratch & Patch won’t cover but if you get a quote you’ll be able to see if your dog breed is eligible for cover.
